propria croce, ravvedendosi dai propri vizi e peccati.
A hammer and a sickle, with Jesus crucified on the hammer:
this is the disconcerting gift offered by the Bolivian president to the
Pope, whom he called "the Pope of the poor, who identifies himself with St.
Francis", and therefore with the poor. But who can dare to put together the
crucifix, incomparable sign of a God who suffers and dies out of love for
his creatures, with the symbol of an atheist ideology that in countries with
a communist regime has crucified Christ exterminating millions of
Christians?
Certainly Jesus said "blessed are the poor" and "woe to you who are rich",
but He made clear to everyone, rich or poor, that to enter the kingdom of
heaven one must pass through the narrow gate of repentance and carry one’s
own cross, repenting from one’s vices and sins. In a vision of Marcello
Ezechiele Ciai, dated 1986, this prophet of Assisi saw a communist sickle,
crossed not by a hammer, but by a lightened candle, falling upon him from
heaven... : but a cross oncoming from behind saved him. The Church cannot
save allying with the dominant ideologies of this world, but only, as the
Apostle Paul wrote, preaching Christ crucified: a stumbling block to some
and foolishness for others..

refugees! So that they don't languish and die!”
"The economy will collapse and the workmen will be dismayed." (from:
“Prophesy!” 1995)
“Your allies are arming themselves, cruel warriors lie
in wait at your door… cry, cry oh daughter of Sion: too great is my mourning

“The horse inside the doors will breed virulent stallions…. They have
erected a bastion, and there the holy war is being prepared” (from: “To
the pleasure seeking city”).
These are passages of prophecies had 20 years ago by Marcello Ezechiele Ciai,
which are increasingly proving to be of incontrovertible, dramatic
actuality.
Recently the full collection has been published, even in the english
