All'indomani delle sconvolgenti dichiarazioni di omosessualità di Monsignor Charamsa - nella foto con il suo compagno omosessuale - all'apertura del Sinodo sulla famiglia il Cardinale Peter Erdo nella relazione introduttiva ha decisamente smentito ogni possibile analogia tra il matrimonio come Dio l'ha concepito e le unioni omosessuali.
Da parte sua il Papa ha ricordato che l'umiltà induce a non puntare il dito contro gli altri ma a tendere loro la mano per rialzarli (Papa Bergoglio stesso a Washington ha abbracciato un suo amico omosessuale, Yayo Grassi, e il suo "compagno").

Ma come aiutare - con amore e per amore -, un omosessuale praticante se non implorandolo a desistere da un vizio che secondo la Parola di Dio - certo come tanti altri vizi - porta all'inferno, alla dannazione eterna?
"Non illudetevi" - ammoniscono le Sacre Scritture - "nè immorali, nè idolatri, nè adulteri, nè depravati, nè sodomiti... erediteranno il Regno di Dio".

Sodomiti: sono quanti praticano la sodomia che, come si legge in Wikipedia o nell'enciclopedia Treccani, è il coito anale, o il sesso orale tra due uomini.

From his part, the Pope recalled that humility leads not to point at others but to reach out to them to lift them up again (Pope Bergoglio himself in Washington embraced a homosexual friend, Yayo Grassi, and his "partner" ).

But how to help - with love and out of love - a practising homosexual if not imploring him to desist from a vice that according to the Word of God – as many other vices – leads to hell, to eternal damnation?
"Do not be deceived!" -  the Holy Scriptures warns - "Fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, sodomites ...  none of this will inherit the Kingdom of God".

Sodomites: those who practice sodomy that is, as one reads in Wikipedia, anal intercourse, or oral sex between two men.

Il Sinodo sulla famiglia, che ha visto 270 Padri Sinodali confrontarsi per tre settimane con le difficoltà e le sfide che minacciano la famiglia, ha ribadito che le unioni tra omosessuali non sono neppure lontanamente paragonabili o confrontabili con la coniugalità uomo-donna e la famiglia come Dio l'ha voluta. Il Cardinale Christoph Schoenborn, grande teologo domenicano che ha avuto un ruolo centrale nel Sinodo, nel briefing finale ha detto che molti saranno delusi per quanto si aspettavano dal Sinodo in tema di omosessualità. Mentre sull'altra questione molto dibattuta della comunione ai divorziati risposati, la discrezionalità caso per caso è stata lasciata ai singoli vescovi. L'enfasi ricorrente del Sinodo è stato il rispetto e la volontà di venire incontro alle problematiche di coppie gay e divorziati risposati. Ma proprio per essere di vero aiuto, una Chiesa basata sulla Parola di Dio non può prescindere dal vedere le cose dal punto di vista di Dio chiamando vizi e peccati per nome, ma annunciando al tempo stesso la buona novella di come Gesù, il Risorto, può liberarci da essi col suo sangue e il suo Spirito.

The Synod on the family, where 270 Synod Fathers discussed for three weeks the difficulties and challenges that threaten the families, has confirmed that unions between homosexuals cannot even remotely be compared or confronted with the conjugality man-woman and the family as God conceived. Cardinal Christoph Schoenborn, the great Dominican theologian, who has played a central role in the Synod, in the final briefing said that many will be disappointed about what they expected from the Synod on the subject of homosexuality. While on the much debated question of communion for divorced and remarried people, the discretion case by case has been left to individual bishops. The recurrent emphasis of the Synod was on the respect and the will to meet the problems of gay couples and divorced remarried. But just to help properly, a Church based on the Word of God cannot avoid seeing things from the point of view of God, calling by name vices and sins, but also announcing the good news that Jesus, the Risen One, can free us from them through his blood and his Spirit.
