Città del Vaticano-- "L'amor che move il sole..." Il Papa, presenta la Sua prima enciclica "Deus caritas est", citando Dante Alighieri, il grande poeta italiano del tredicesimo secolo, autore della "Divina Commedia" - Inferno, Purgatorio e Paradiso - una delle più grandi opere della letteratura mondiale.
Il Papa dice: "L'escursione cosmica, in cui Dante vuole coinvolgere il lettore, finisce davanti alla Luce perenne che
è Dio stesso, davanti a quella Luce che al contempo è " L'amor che move il sole e l'altre stelle".
In Dante " luce e amore sono una sola cosa: sono la primordiale potenza creatrice che muove l'universo".

Vatican City -- "The love that moves the sun ...". The Pope illustrates His first encyclical
"Deus caritas est" quoting Dante Alighieri, the great Italian poet of the thirteenth century, author of the "Divine Comedy" - Inferno, Purgatory and Paradise - one of the greatest works of world literature.

The Pope says: "The cosmic excursion where Dante wants to involve the reader, ends up before the perennial Light that is God Himself, Light that at the same time is the very "love that moves the sun and all the stars".
For Dante " light and love are one thing only: they are the primordial creative power that moves the universe".
