Two workers of the Commune of Assisi install at Porta Nuova a plate realized by the IACA Association, with the Italian and English translation
of the Blessing of St. Francis to his City, reported in Latin on the arch inside the gate.

The resonance and splendor of Assisi are growing more and more. Assisi is the most famous sanctuary-city of the world, indissolubly tied to the most universally known and loved Saint: Saint Francis, whose name significantly was assumed by the current Pontiff, considered and looked by all like as the most important, influencial and well-liked leader. The Association IACA, set up and operating in Assisi since more than 20 years, amongst its initiatives meant to let the world know the wonders of Umbria and in particular the mysterious charm and prophetic message of Assisi, has honored the Seraphic City and its Saint installing at Porta Nuova, one of the eight medieval gates of Assisi, a plate where now one can read also in Italian and in English the blessing inscribed in Latin, high up on the arch of the Gate. A precious blessing that St. Francis, before his death, gave to his beloved city and to those who pass through it, which still mysteriously flutters above Assisi.

"You will hear of wars and rumors of wars.... Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines and earthquakes in various places, but this is only the beginning of sorrows" (St. Matthew 24:6-8 ). "Rumors of war" not only in Ukraine, but also in various other parts of the world, as in Libya, called a "powder keg". For this world which considers peace one of the universally shared values, in reality the Lord has prophesied in the last times increasing wars, that are rooted in the refuse to believe in Him, the "Prince of Peace" (Isaiah 8:5 ). << One speaks of peace, one seeks peace, but men do not even know anymore what is “peace”. Peace only I can give it; but nobody finds anymore that “treasure hidden in the field”, because nobody wants to renounce and everybody wants to have >> : so we read in the first of the prophecies (The Mantle 1995) received by Marcello Ezekiel Ciai, the prophet that God has raised up in that Assisi, which claims the title of "City of Peace". Peace, the true and definitive peace, has a name and a face: Jesus Christ. But it’s written “there is no peace for the wicked ones” (Isaiah 48:22) and unfortunatly the return of the Lord Jesus for many shall be the beginning of an eternal "weeping and gnashing of teeth": even for many religious people reclined in their hypocritical religiosity, thinking that "the master is delaying his coming" (St. Matthew 24:48:5).

Massimo Conclave Massimo Conclave

Pope Francis in the homily of the Mass at 7 a.m. in Santa Marta, commenting the Gospel of the day, where the Jews try to capture Jesus, said that the powerful are always trying to silence the prophets and who proclaims the Gospel meets persecutions. "There are now more martyrs than in the early days. All the people that the Holy Spirit chooses to tell the truth to the people of God suffer persecution. The enemies of Jesus ambush him, because he goes against their actions, rebukes their faults... accuses the transgressions. In the whole history of salvation the prophets have been persecuted or not understood, left aside. People do not give them space, because they say: You have taken a wrong street! Head back to the way of God! The prophet fights against people who cage the Holy Spirit.

I think of one, now, at this moment, not so far from us, a man of good will, a prophet indeed, that with his books reproached the Church to get away from the way of the Lord. Soon he was called, his books have gone to the index, they took the chairs and so this man ends his life: not so long ago. The time is past and today is blessed! But as yesterday was a heretic and today is a blessed? Is that yesterday those who had the power wanted to mute it, because they did not like what he said..."

"This is not over" Pope Francis said. That’s really true! That "pilgrim of Assisi" - Massimo Coppo - kneeling in St. Peter's Square, in the rain, during the Conclave (as shown on the heading of the Vatican Insider), who prayed for a Pope poor and near to the poor, had gone there from Assisi at the suggestion of Marcello Ezekiel Ciai, the "prophet of Assisi" marginalized together with his community by the Bishop of Assisi for 12 years (1994-2006), with a real "bubble of heresy". And to think that what the Holy Spirit had given him to write - in periods of heavy penance or extreme diseases - on Rome, the Vatican, the earthquake in Assisi and the collapse of the world economy, has occurred and is occurring in a dramatically surprising way. The very presence of Massimo Coppo at St. Peter's Square, which has rebounced on the newspapers and networks worldwide, appeared to all as a prophetic sign, which pioneered the pontificate of the first "Pope Francis" in history!

Regarding this article that follows, an e-mail from an Australian friend has been sent to us which we selected and the text of which we publish because specific and encouraging: <<Thank you Marcello, Massimo & IACA for giving us such a wonderful Pope. Your Penitential prayers have borne much fruit,
100 fold!>>

A year after the election of Pope Francis we again present the photo symbol of "the pilgrim of Assisi”, Massimo Coppo, kneeling on a sewer in St Peter's Square, wearing the sackcloth and  barefoot under the rain, during the course of the Conclave. A "prophetic" photo which has gone round the world. We have asked Massimo what he feels in seeing again that image. <<I prayed for a Pope close to the poor who would  speak of eternity>>, Massimo remembers, <<and so I answered to the many who asked me about the reason for that penance. I felt and I still feel to be just a "sewer", and behind my prayer there was that one certainly more effective of Marcello Ezekiel Ciai, the "prophet of Assisi" founder of my Community Families of Bethlehem, who had felt the inspiration of "placing me" as an icon of prayer in St. Peter's Square during the Conclave. From Assisi together with Marcello and my community, with our prayers and our witness we continue to support the Pope so that he may continue with increasing firmness, with the indomitable humility and passion of St. Francis, to renew a poor Church, sided with the poor and that would proclaim those "words of eternal life" (Gospel of John 6:68) and of eternal judgment that many in the world today - and unfortunately even many religious - don’t want to hear any more.>>

The world returns to look at Rome with renewed interest and appreciation, not only for the extraordinary figure of Pope Francis, but also for what the new head of government, Matteo Renzi, a Catholic, is doing. In the Holy Scriptures Rome occupies a prominent place. To the Christians of Rome the most popular of the Letters of St. Paul is addressed, and in Rome the events narrated in the Acts of the Apostles have their conclusion. But even before Rome became the center of irradiation of Christianity and the millenarian seat of the government of the Catholic Church, in the pages of the Old Testament (First Book of Maccabees chapter 8) one reads a particular eulogy of Rome, whose invincibility is ascribed to its "republican virtues": a Senate whose members "discuss entirely each day about what regards the people, so that everything would go well," and rulers who do not magnify themselves of their role and to whom all obey without envy and jealousy. God may grant that it could be so for our leaders and politicians so that Italy could return to take the lead in the world with its unrivaled wealth of art, culture, holiness and nature. And that Rome anyway may come back to the splendor and fame that for good reason, as capital of the most glorious empire in human history, have gained to her the title of "caput mundi" (head of the world).

O meglio, chi siete venuti a cercare? (Profezia santificante Papa Wojtyla)

The canonization of Pope John XXIII and of Pope John Paul II at the Vatican, Sunday, April 27, resulting in a huge influx of pilgrims to Rome, offers a very good occasion to remind us that God, "the source of all holiness", calls all of us to be saints. "Be holy yourselves in all your conduct" urged St. Peter, the first Pope, "for it is written: you shall be holy because I am holy" (I Letter 1:15-16). It is God who makes us saints. In the case of John Paul II, about 20 years ago God inspired to Marcello Ezekiel Ciai, the prophet of Assisi who foresaw the attempt of St. Peter's Square in 1981, a prophecy that stigmatized a certain climate of triumphalism around that great Pope, inadmissible for one who, after all, as the same St. Peter defined himself, is only a servant of Christ. "The people applaud you, why don't you tell them: Not a leaf falls without the Pope's will ?! Instead, in those days, the nail fixed in secure place will fall, and all will be shivered because I, the Lord, have spoken" warned that prophecy "...Every protection is demolished, oh house of Peter! Priest, pray for your prophet: from whom will help come?..." And the prophecy, which was proclaimed several times in the presence of Pope John Paul II and was transmitted directly to him, achieved its beneficial effect, "helping" him in the way of sanctification. Everyone noticed afterwards a profound change in his tones and attitudes, for which  then he shouted to the crowds who hailed him: "What have you come to search for? Or rather, whom have you come to search? The answer cannot be but one: you have come to search Jesus Christ!" A cry that must still challenge the many believers and not believers who gather now around Pope Francis, fascinated by his exceptional charisma. (Sanctifying prophecy Pope Wojtyla)

EXCHANGE OF GIFTS AT THE VATICAN - The Queen of England Elizabeth, during a brief visit to the Vatican, gave as gifts to the Pope whisky, honey and other products of the royal gardens. To the Samaritan woman met at the well - Samaritans were "schismatics" towards the Jews, as the Anglican Church, headed by the Queen, is towards the Catholic Church - Jesus  said: <<If you knew the gift of God and who is saying to you, "Give me a drink", you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water...gushing up to eternal life>> (Gospel of St. John 4.10,14). Yes, how much more valuable and lasting is the gift that Jesus grants through his Church: Salvation and Eternal Life! For the grandson of the royal couple, George, the Pope has given a globe in lapis lazuli surmounted by a cross; as to remind - so the motto of the Carthusians states - : "Dum volvitur orbis, stat crux", the Cross remains stable in an ever changing world. The glory of kingdoms and rulers of this world passes, as the big English Colonial Empire has gone. But firm remains the glory of that King, Jesus Christ, crowned with thorns and enthroned on the cross, who will return to judge the great and the small of the earth: and his kingdom will never come to an end.

"Earth hour", lights off for one hour on the streets, squares and symbolic sites of the Earth: this manifestation has been realized on a global scale by WWF, against the environmental pollution and global warming. But in the last book of the Bible, the Book of Revelation of St. John, an angel appears to announce to the inhabitants of the earth another "hour", that one of the divine judgment: "He cried with a loud voice: fear God and give him glory, for the hour of his judgment has come!". And to a world that seeks salvation in itself, this angel remembers that it is God who created it: "Worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water" (14:7). On this world darkened by its own arrogance, the Son of God, Jesus Christ, came down to illuminate it with the words of the Gospel and to redeem it through his sufferings. But the time is approaching when He will return "as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west" to judge how many, as it is written, to God "did not give honour or thanks ... but they became futile in their thoughts and their senseless minds were darkened" (St. Paul to the Romans 1:21). "Listen, oh earth, where is your salvation?" We read in the prophecies of Marcello Ezekiel Ciai "To the Pleasure seeking City" (1995) "On Papeete, or in the Pope perhaps? I make it rain according to the seasons, I have created the sowing and the grape harvest; but you are only able to get drunk on your own ideas. Your wicked thoughts have ruined all the beautiful things created by me, for you. Therefore  misfortune and terror will come upon you. You don't seek the ancient ways, and prepare yourselves your tombs!"

"Repent, for not going to hell, that's what’s expecting you, if you don’t stop to do evil", this is the warning that the Pope has recently addressed to the members of the Mafia. Yes, the Pope really spoke of hell, a topic mocked by a world for which the afterlife is an irrelevant question, and neglected by many religious men who are ashamed to talk about it. Yet so often and explicitly  hell is mentioned in that very Gospel of which the Pope has recently expressed the hope that every believer should keep it with himself, to read and meditate it every day, because there "it is Jesus who speaks to us". Hell, a tragic reality: "weeping and gnashing of teeth", relying on the unequivocal words of Jesus who died and rose again to save us from that place from which the damned cannot escape for all eternity, where "their worm never dies and the fire is not quenched" (Gospel of St. Mark 9:47). Tremendous eternal condition toward which not only the "mafiosi" but unfortunately "many" are journeying along the "large road that leads to destruction" (Gospel of St. Matthew 7:13 ). "Do not be deceived !" the Word of God warns us "neither fornicators nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor robbers, none of those will inherit the kingdom of God" (I Corinthians 6:9-10). And in the Gospel Jesus even warns that "whoever says to his brother ... ‘you fool’, shall be liable to the hell of fire" (Gospel of St. Matthew 5:22). May it be so that we hear more often "words of eternal life" - and alas necessarily also of eternal death - from the lips of this Pope who took the name of St. Francis, who taught his friars to preach with a few words: "vices, virtues, punishment (hell) and glory (heaven)!".
